What we do

One species, three ways of working

We deal in tourmaline of every origin and every variety, with a specialism in copper-bearing Paraíba-type material. That means wholesale parcels for the trade, single stones sourced for a private commission, and rough cut to a client's brief — and, when it is the honest answer, telling you that what you are describing does not exist at the price you have in mind.

01

Wholesale and trade supply

Coherent parcels for jewellers, dealers and manufacturers: one variety, one colour range, a narrow weight band — so a buyer can price a lot without opening every paper.

  • Matched pairs and full suites for repeating designs
  • Calibrated sizes where the setting demands them
  • Repeat supply of a single colour, held and reserved
  • Rough by the parcel as well as cut goods
  • Weight, origin and treatment stated on every line of the invoice
02

One stone for one piece

For a private client commissioning a single jewel. Tell us the variety, the colour you have in mind, the size range and the budget, and we look for it — including where it does not exist.

  • A brief taken properly: colour first, then weight, then shape
  • A shortlist with the faults named, not only the merits
  • Photographs and video in unedited colour before anything moves
  • A laboratory report where the value justifies one
  • An honest answer when the budget and the stone do not meet
03

Cutting to order

From our rough or from yours. Tourmaline is a stone where the cutter's decisions matter more than in almost any other species, and we treat the orientation as part of the buying.

  • Orientation set for colour, not for the weight it saves
  • Calibrated sizes cut to a setting's measurements
  • Recutting of windowed, over-deep or damaged stones
  • Bespoke shapes and slices, including bi-colour sections
  • A yield estimate given before the saw, not after

What dealing in one species buys you

A generalist has to be adequate at forty gems. We are answerable for one. The reference pages on this site — chemistry, colour, properties and origins — are the same knowledge we buy with.

Every origin

Brazil, Mozambique, Nigeria, Afghanistan and Pakistan, Madagascar, Namibia, Tanzania, the United States. We buy across the map because the same variety behaves differently from each source, and knowing which is which is most of the job.

Copper-bearing material in particular

Paraíba-type is where the money and the fraud both concentrate. We apply the laboratory definition rather than the marketing one — copper confirmed by chemistry, saturation inside the defined range, and the iron limit respected.

Nomenclature that survives scrutiny

Species and variety named precisely, origin stated only where it can be supported, treatment disclosed in the honest form. If a stone is a fine blue tourmaline and not a Paraíba, that is what the invoice will say.

Assessment before anything is offered

Every stone is examined in-house before it is listed or offered — measurements taken, treatment considered, colour judged out of the display lighting. Where the value justifies it, the stone goes to a first-tier laboratory.

How it works

From a brief to a stone in your hand

1

The brief

Variety, colour, weight range, budget, and what the stone is for. Five lines is enough to start.

2

The shortlist

What we have or can reach, with the faults named. Unedited photographs and video in daylight-balanced light.

3

Verification

Laboratory report where the premium justifies it — origin and copper confirmation above all. Nothing is hidden from you, including inconvenient findings.

4

Cutting and delivery

If the stone is rough, the cutting brief is agreed before the saw. Insured shipping, full documentation, export papers where they apply.

Send us the brief

Trade enquiries, a single commission, or a parcel of rough you want cut. Variety, colour, weight range and budget is enough to begin.
